Joan of Arc
A Painting we created using our daughter Gemma as the model. Suzy made the blue arming doublet she wore and Arms and Armor created the armor and sword. The background is a tapestry the colors of red and gold suggesting flames. This painting is unique in that it is done entirely with pigments and oils that could have been used during the 1500's. We have been studying and working with old techniques. We now give demonstrations to school groups on the Craft of Painting.
